We are looking for a dedicated Admin Assistant/Receptionist to provide an efficient reception service and clerical (including finance) support to the school.

The successful candidate will work 15 hours per week across two days (Thursday and Friday, 8am – 4:30pm with a 60‑minute unpaid break each day). This is a 38‑week‑per‑year role (term time only).

A Day in the Life

  • Acting as the first point of contact for both telephone and face‑to‑face enquiries.
  • Ensuring school security arrangements are always complied with, including the issue of visitor badges and signing‑in procedures, and updating the school’s electronic sign‑in system to ensure smooth running.
  • Taking responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of the manual and computerised pupil data records, including attendance details.
  • Sending and receiving messages via the school’s Management Information System (MIS) to maintain effective communication with parents/carers.
  • Carrying out financial administration in accordance with appropriate financial regulations and policies.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience of administrative work in a busy office environment.
  • Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of general school policies and procedures.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • An understanding of and the ability to implement the school’s behaviour management policy.
  • An understanding of and the ability to implement child protection procedures.
