As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our world-class rides and attractions operating safely, reliably, and efficiently, helping create magical moments for millions of guests every year. This is a hands-on, varied role in one of the UK’s most exciting technical environments. From routine inspections to fault-finding on complex ride systems, no two days are ever the same. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you’ll adopt a flexible and proactive approach to all mechanical engineering duties within the Technical Services department, supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across the Resort.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly ride inspections and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure safe and reliable operation of all rides and attractions.

Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and operational issues, diagnosing faults and completing effective repairs to minimise downtime.

Support the daily operation of the resort by ensuring rides and units are available, safe, and compliant with operational requirements.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete all required documentation in line with company and legislative standards.

Ensure all engineering activities are carried out in full compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures, and HSG175.

Conduct risk assessments and complete incident reports to manage and reduce operational and financial risk.

Safeguard company assets and ensure tools, equipment, and components are used safely and efficiently.

Communicate clearly with Engineering Supervisors and operational teams regarding ride status, defects, and safety-critical issues to enable timely decision-making.

Work safely at height and within operational environments, maintaining exceptional standards of safety, presentation, and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
What We’re Looking For

A qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on maintenance experience.

Ideally apprenticeship-trained, with a Level 3 engineering qualification (or equivalent).

Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in reactive and PPM work.

A flexible approach to working hours and duties in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Comfortable working at heights.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure.

A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
This is a full-time, permanent role, averaging 40 hours per week and includes weekends and bank holidays as required by the operational needs of the Resort. Due to the nature of the role, successful candidates will be required to provide original copies of all relevant qualification certificates at the interview stage.
We will be holding interviews for this position in March 2026.
