We are currently recruiting Animal Information Hosts to join us at the UK's number one theme park, Alton Towers Resort! As an Animal Information Host, you'll be a key part of our interactive underwater adventure at Sharkbait Reef. You'll engage with our visitors, sharing your enthusiasm for the ocean's mysteries and ensuring that every guest leaves with a deeper appreciation of marine life. You’ll guide guests through exciting exhibits, answer their questions, and help create an unforgettable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Interaction: Provide warm, engaging, and informative customer service to all guests, answering questions and enhancing their SEA LIFE experience.
  • Education & Inspiration: Lead talks, presentations, and feeding demonstrations, sparking curiosity and wonder in visitors of all ages.
  • Safety & Care: Ensure the safety and well-being of both our guests and our aquatic creatures, maintaining a clean and secure environment at all times.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside an energetic and passionate team to create a fun and educational atmosphere.

Please note that while you are applying for a role within a specific department, you may be required to support additional departments based on operational needs. These could include Crowd control, Retail, Sales & Admissions, Car Parks & Rides & Attractions. Flexibility is essential, and you may be scheduled in alternative areas at certain times during the season.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A flexible approach to availability is essential, as you will be required to work weekdays, weekends, and Bank Holidays.
  • Strong collaborative skills, while also having the confidence to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills to connect with both guests and fellow team members, making learning fun and engaging.
  • A love for marine creatures and a keen interest in their habitats and conservation.
  • Confident in presenting to groups of all sizes, with a natural ability to engage and inspire.

  • Some basic knowledge of marine life, or a keen interest in learning more.
  • Enthusiastic about sharing your love for the ocean and its inhabitants.
