AI Engineer – Demand Generation (Contract)
6 months Outside IR35 Contract – Must work from the UK
Alto Software Group is a B2B SaaS company that powers more than half of all UK housing transactions each year. We create software solutions that connect businesses and consumers, delivering a one-stop shop for estate agents and home builders. Our goal is to drive efficiency, speed up transactions, reduce risk, and improve the end-customer experience. While we're not a start-up, we have a start-up mindset and want our people to operate with this mindset so that we can achieve our ambitions.
We are looking for a contract AI Engineer to build the AI-powered automations that drive demand generation at Alto Software Group. You'll work directly with the Head of AI Operations and Marketing to take a backlog of demand gen automation ideas from design through to production.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain AI-enabled automation pipelines (n8n, Zapier/Make, direct LLM APIs) that power lead scoring, enrichment and MQL-to-SQL routing between HubSpot and Salesforce
- Design and implement RAG pipelines and vector database integrations that let AI generate and personalise campaign content, nurture sequences and ad copy at scale
- Build event-triggered automations on Mission Control that turn buyer intent signals into real-time marketing and sales actions
- Develop, test and version prompts for demand gen use cases, with evaluation loops to keep improving output quality
- Automate manual reporting workflows so marketing gets faster, more accurate visibility into pipeline generated, funnel conversion and campaign ROI
- Apply sound engineering standards — error handling, logging and monitoring — to every automation you put into production
- Document what you build and hand it over cleanly so marketing and RevOps can operate and extend it without you
What You Need to Be Successful
- Proven delivery of LLM-based automation in a production environment, not just prototypes
- Strong experience with automation platforms (Inngest)
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience building RAG pipelines and working with vector databases
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock API’s and prompt engineering
- Experience automating marketing (HubSpot) and CRM (Salesforce) environments — direct demand generation experience strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with non-technical marketing and RevOps stakeholders to turn a vague brief into a shipped automation
There's always room to grow and learn with our roles — please don't be put off if you don't have all of these. It's more important that you're passionate about improving the home moving and owning experience for everyone.
Our Technology Stack
- Automation & Orchestration: Inngest
- AI / LLM: Claude, Cursor and AWS Bedrock
- Languages: Python, SQL
- MarTech & CRM: HubSpot, Salesforce, Thoughtspot
Why Join Alto?
This role gives you a live demand gen automation backlog, direct access to the Head of AI Operations, and the scope to decide how AI actually shows up in our go-to-market motion — not a sandbox project. It's a chance to build infrastructure that has a visible, measurable effect on pipeline, in a business where AI is treated as core operational infrastructure, not an experiment.
We want to make Alto Software Group more welcoming, fair and representative every day. We'll consider everyone who applies for this role in the same way, regardless of your ethnicity, colour, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, physical disability, neurodiversity status, family or parental status, or how long you've spent unemployed.
