About AltoCars
AltoCars is a busy, well-established, family-run accident repair centre in Hartley Wintney, with a strong local reputation for quality work and looking after our customers. Being a family business is at the heart of who we are — it shapes how we treat our team, and we take real pride in being a friendly, supportive place to work.
The Role
We're looking for an organised, friendly and capable Bodyshop Controller to take charge of the day-to-day running of our front office and keep work flowing smoothly through the shop. Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager, you'll be the main point of contact for customers, estimate and book in repairs, order parts and materials, and keep the back office ticking over. It would suit an experienced estimator or controller who enjoys variety and takes pride in a well-run shop.
What You'll Be Doing
- Producing accurate repair estimates on Audatex and managing jobs through Autoflow
- Looking after customers from first enquiry to handover — booking in, updating and answering queries
- Ordering parts and materials, negotiating with suppliers and keeping stock under control
- Raising invoices, processing payments and keeping the back office organised
- Liaising with insurers, engineers and work providers, and managing the courtesy car fleet
- Keeping the workshop schedule flowing and supporting the Bodyshop Manager day to day
What We're Looking For
- Solid experience in an accident repair or bodyshop environment
- Confident using Audatex for estimating and Autoflow for workflow and bookings
- VDA / IMI ATA accreditation is a real plus, though not essential
- A natural organiser who's great with customers and calm under pressure
- Comfortable ordering parts, managing suppliers and handling everyday admin
What We Offer
- A genuinely friendly, family-run business where staff are valued and looked after
- A competitive salary, reviewed regularly
- A varied role with real ownership of how the shop runs day to day
