Altius Talent is a UK-based recruitment firm placing senior operations, sales and management talent into the US logistics and freight forwarding market. We've built a profitable, fast-growing business with a strong reputation across Houston, Dallas, the Northeast, and the Midwest — and we're now scaling toward a defined exit horizon. We bill from the UK into the US. Our consultants are smart, well-paid, and supported. We're not a churn-and-burn agency.

This role exists to take ownership of operations so the leadership team can focus on what they do best: client relationships, billing, and strategic growth. It's a genuine number-two seat with real ownership, not a pure admin role.

What you'll own:

  • People & hiring: Day-to-day people management for the consultant team, onboarding new hires through to productivity, KPI tracking, weekly 1:1s, performance management, sourcing and first-stage interviewing for new hires.
  • Systems & vendors: Bullhorn (CRM), LinkedIn Recruiter, RingCentral, email infrastructure, IT support relationship, vendor management, contracts, renewals.
  • Finance & commercial admin: Commission calculations and verification, payroll liaison with our accountant, monthly KPI dashboard and reporting to the owner, compliance, contracts, terms of business.
  • Office & operations: Smooth running of the day-to-day, new initiatives (US office setup is on the horizon — this role helps deliver it).

Who you are:

  • 5+ years experience in recruitment operations, agency management, or a number-two role at a similar-size firm.
  • Comfortable with Bullhorn or a comparable CRM, and confident across the recruitment tools stack.
  • Detail-oriented — commissions, payroll, and KPIs need to be right, every time.
  • Comfortable managing people without ego.
  • Strong systems-thinker who can spot what's broken and fix it.
  • Discreet, dependable, low-drama.

You're not: an ex-biller wanting to get back into billing. You're someone who finds running things well genuinely satisfying.

What we offer: Base depending on experience, plus performance bonus tied to firm KPIs, hybrid working (4 days office / 1 day remote), Bristol HQ, direct line to ownership, real influence on direction, a profitable, stable, growing firm with a clear long-term plan, genuine ownership of your function; we're hiring you to run this, not to ask permission.
