The Business Development Manager (Buyer Services) is a newly created, high-impact role responsible for managing relationships with active acquirers, understanding their investment criteria, and working internally with the New Business Team to source suitable acquisition opportunities. The role also includes supporting early-stage negotiations between buyers and business owners.
- Engage and manage relationships with active acquirers including Private Equity firms, HNWIs, Corporate acquirers, and Family Offices.
- Understand buyer acquisition goals, mandates, target sectors, investment parameters, and strategic fit.
- Work closely with the New Business Team to identify relevant acquisition opportunities.
- Maintain accurate buyer pipelines and activity logs within the CRM system.
- Provide updates to management on buyer engagement, deal progression, and pipeline performance.
- Proactively source opportunities through internal data, inbound opportunities, and market insights.
Strong B2B sales or business development experience (3+ years). Ability to build rapport and manage long-term buyer relationships. Strong organisational skills with disciplined follow-up and CRM management. Experience working with Private Equity, Investment Directors, or Corporate Acquirers (desirable but not essential).
