As an Employment Consultant, you will partner with the Rehabilitation Consultant or Vocational Consultant and assist individuals who have sustained an injury or illness to gain new employment. Working from our Sydney or Miranda NSW office, this role will see you:
- Cold Calling to identify host employers to place injured workers during their recovery through SIRA programs (volunteer or employee nature)
- Promotion of SIRA programs and other available incentives
- Creation of SIRA program and re-training applications for agent review/ approval
- Networking and creating a database of employers willing to host candidates
- Travelling to varied locations within client areas to build relationships with host employers and build a host database
- Providing job skills training and developing resources for injured workers requiring new employment
- Achieving placement KPI's within timeframe (for example, placing a client in a work trial within 6 weeks of referral)
- Working with Head of New Employer Services to build resources to support the position and expansion across the national service front
What you need to join us:
- Demonstrated proficiency in telephone communication and strong sales and marketing skills
- Proven track record in call and sales roles, with a minimum of 6 months of experience, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Resilient and determined to persevere and achieve positive outcomes, even in challenging situations
- Possession of a valid driver’s licence and access to a personal vehicle
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a winning personality to quickly build rapport
- Knowledge of the NSW Workers' Compensation (WC) scheme is a bonus, it is not a mandatory requirement
