Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on knowledge & experience)

Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join our client’s team, specialising in world class cutting services to the oil & energy industry (on and offshore). With over 30+ years' experience and over 1000 projects completed, this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a hydraulic/mechanical engineering background and subsea experience to move their career forward within this well-established company. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of various projects within the organisation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful completion of projects, meeting all safety, quality, and timeline objectives. For this role, you will require sound knowledge of the use of ‘SolidWorks’.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in preparation of Feasibility/FEED Studies, Equipment Manuals, Method Statements and general procedures.
  • Assists in new tooling design trial and verification.
  • Developing project objectives.
  • Confirming performance of products by design and tests.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets to guide project execution.
  • Coordinate within the engineering team to ensure that design and technical specifications are met.
  • Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment and materials.
  • Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance and support of equipment as required.
  • Perform project evaluations.

Essential Experience:

  • SolidWorks knowledge.
  • Previous experience in a hydraulic or mechanical background.
  • Understanding of subsea equipment/spreads.
  • Competent and proven knowledge in project planning and management.
  • Understand of offshore installations and subsea architecture.
  • Previous experience working within the oil & energy sector.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Advantageous Skills:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in an electrical background.
  • Experience working with cutting (diamond wire preferable) equipment on or offshore.
  • Knowledge of WROV's and ROV working principles.
