A great opportunity to utilise and demonstrate your finance experience, whilst overseeing the operations for a busy UK office in Milton Keynes. Our client is a global company that has a small presence in the UK and is a market leader in their field. Offering a supportive, collaborative and friendly environment, within a peaceful location in Milton Keynes.
You will work closely with the Managing Director and Senior Management Team to develop and execute financial strategies and provide insights into operations, to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives.
Responsibilities:- Financial Management and Reporting
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
- Manage Business Administrative functions including payroll
- Manage and Oversee Health and Safety Compliance
- Strategic and Operational support
- Adhere to Group reporting deadlines
- International Travel will be required to support Board Meetings
- Responsible for Management Accounts, Business Administration, Management Systems and Corporate and Statutory compliance improvements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies
- Maintain Rebate Control Sheet (in collaboration with Sales Managers)
- Main point of contact for external and internal audits
- Report to the Management Team on a monthly basis
- Manage all aspects of financial operations including company accounts, payroll, pensions, and budgeting
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management accounts, forecasts, and annual budgets
- Conduct financial analysis, monitor KPIs, and provide performance insights to senior management
- Oversee AP/AR processes
- Lead month-end/year-end closing and ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Manage financial risk assessments and evaluate investment and cost-reduction opportunities
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, tax laws, statutory returns, GDPR, ISO standards, and environmental reporting
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits
- Maintain and update the risk register, and ensure health & safety and fire safety compliance
- Complete Risk Assessments and COSHH Register
- Act as the Data Controller
- Responsible for GDPR Compliance
- Support business planning and project management activities
Strong analytical, budgeting, and forecasting skills. Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the business. Proven experience in Business Controller / Operations/ Finance Management Role. Degree or Qualifications in Business Administration/Finance/ Accounting. Experience in Unit 4 / Agresso, SAP, Xero, or similar accounting systems. Ability to collaborate across departments (sales, marketing, management). Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
