Our client is one of the largest independent retailer businesses in the UK with 38 centres throughout England. They are currently looking for a person to join their warehouse operation team in a supportive role that covers all aspects of office administration and warehouse operations, including the delivery of tyres to our centres.

The main tasks of this role are:

  • Compile daily warehouse delivery through the system for the warehouse pick.
  • Dealing with orders for delivery from suppliers into our centres.
  • Retail centre stock cleanses and redistribution.
  • Arrange and control deliveries into and out of the warehouse.
  • Helping unload containers of tyres into the warehouse.
  • Maintaining the system of stock locations in the warehouse.
  • Maintaining the register of complaints and calculating refunds for customers.
  • Back up delivery driver for deliveries into the centres.
  • Communication with warehouse and retail centre staff.
  • Arranging returns to suppliers.
  • Computer skills in Excel and Word.

This role, at times, can be quite physical. Knowledge and experience of using computer systems is required as this forms a large part of the role. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) are required as there will be constant communication between yourself and other areas of the business.

A valid driving licence is essential with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.

The working week is based on 40 hours, the hours we cover are pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 16:30pm on Saturdays (depending on staffing situations this will usually be alternate Saturdays but could become every 3rd Saturday; you also get one day off every other week). Bank holidays are from 9.00am - 2.00pm (usually alternate as well).
