Based in London, AlternativeSoft is an award‑winning financial software company specializing in quantitative and qualitative investment due diligence for alternative assets, helping asset managers select the best hedge funds, long‑only funds, and private equity for portfolio construction and reporting.

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate must have vast experience selling analytical software to medium and large institutional investors in funds, coupled with a desire to excel at a fintech with a 20‑year track record of success and innovation.

What you will get to do:

  • The candidate will call on the world’s biggest decision makers – asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, fund advisors, pension funds, endowment funds, fund of hedge funds and family offices in Europe and Asia.
  • Engage with analysts, portfolio managers, COOs, and CIOs to understand manager research, compare hedge and private funds, leverage deep finance knowledge, and explain how our software helps them select best‑of‑breed funds, build and monitor portfolios, and perform qualitative due diligence analysis.
  • The role requires working in the office at least 3 days per week.

Other responsibilities:

  • Achieve your annual sales target.
  • Act as a true hunter who is entrepreneurial and team‑minded, with experience in the full sales process: cold calls/emails/LinkedIn, generating meetings, collaborating with product specialists, managing demos and trials, explaining platform delivery options, understanding differences between hedge, mutual, and private funds, answering prospect objections, negotiating contracts, and handing over to the client support team.
  • Provide product feedback.
  • Partner with marketing to generate and nurture leads.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sales to enhance our existing EMEA/APAC sales strategy.

What you will bring:

  • Minimum 2 years of full sales cycle experience, preferably with pension funds, banks, and asset managers.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an analytics mindset, ideally in finance, economics, accounting, or mathematics.
  • Understanding of asset selection process, hedge funds, private equity funds, and statistics (volatility, correlation, beta, VaR), and modern portfolio theory.
  • Success in current sales role with 4 + years of new sales experience.
  • Generated over $400,000 USD in new sales.
  • Demonstrable communication, presentation, relationship, and collaboration skills.
  • Time‑management skills and experience managing more than 10 client relationships simultaneously.
  • Mandatory experience within the financial services sector.
  • Consummate hunter mentality.
