Job Purpose

To provide a full shared service activity to deliver all associated "end to end" recruitment for vacancies specifically within the engineering sector, delivering customer satisfaction, raising the bar and improving performance.

Dimensions

This position suits a proactive, enthusiastic, methodical, and adaptable team player with excellent interpersonal and customer‑focused skills and an eye for accuracy. The ideal applicant will have experience working in talent acquisition and will use that experience to quickly identify customer needs and provide proactive and accurate solutions, preferably with a background in HR or recruitment.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Work with hiring managers to understand each position’s requirements and contribute to developing new strategies to recruit qualified candidates.
  • Use recruiting and sourcing tools (job boards, social media, databases, search engines, networking) to build an ongoing candidate pipeline for current and future requisitions.
  • Build a network of top talent, gain market intelligence, and assess candidates to gauge alignment for engineering roles across the company footprint.
  • Attend industry‑related events, including tradeshows and networking events.
  • Support Recruitment Coordinators with scheduling and managing on‑site and off‑site interviews, booking conference rooms, and managing candidate expenses.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Recruitment experience, either in‑house or agency.
  • Good knowledge and experience of the Engineering or Utility market.
  • Collaborative working style.
  • Excellent customer focus – written, telephony, email, face‑to‑face.
  • All activities follow best practice and legislative requirements.
  • Manage relationships with the wider HR team and several business managers.
  • Respond to requests for information or support within appropriate timeframes.
  • Support projects related to new activities within the resourcing team.
  • Ideally HR knowledge & experience.
