The Design department is responsible for developing innovative, practical, and fully coordinated mechanical and electrical building services solutions tailored to each project. Working closely with clients, project teams, and the BIM department, the design team transforms concepts into detailed, build-ready technical designs that meet regulatory standards, client specifications, and sustainability goals. Their work underpins the technical accuracy and efficiency of our installations, ensuring seamless integration from planning through to construction.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality design solutions for modular chilled water pipework systems and turnkey plantroom packages.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Responsible for the design and development of chilled water pipework and modular, skid-based cooling solutions for data centres, including turnkey prefabricated plantrooms with associated MEP infrastructure.
  • The role involves carrying out thermal and hydraulic analysis, feasibility studies, and detailed mechanical calculations.
  • Producing coordinated schematics, layouts, BIM models, and fabrication drawings.
  • Collaborating closely with electrical, BMS, structural, architectural, and MEP stakeholders to ensure efficient, clash-free designs.
  • Equipment selection, preparation of technical submittals, client and supplier liaison.
  • Oversight of fabrication and commissioning strategies in line with industry standards.
  • Providing ongoing technical input through project coordination meetings while staying informed of advances in modular and offsite construction.
