Team Overview: Within one of these Business Units, Alternative Heat deliver turnkey plantroom packages at scale, directly to hyperscale developers throughout Europe, under long-term framework agreements. This Business Unit is scaling at pace, and we have secured a 5-year framework agreement to design, manufacture and deliver volume based, turnkey plantroom modules (mechanical, electrical and BMS) to projects throughout Europe, with demand set to increase annually.

Role Overview: To manage the delivery and set down of a range of M&E Packaged Plantrooms across our multiple Datacentre projects throughout Europe. The Mechanical Supervisor would work in conjunction with an Electrical Supervisor and together this Management Team will direct, and lead Client appointed M&E teams in the set down and reconnection of modularised Package Plantrooms. These plantrooms will be fully fabricated and built at our impressive offsite facilities in Banbridge, then separated and broken down for delivery to various sites throughout Europe. The Mechanical Site Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a mechanical team in the reconnection/testing and commissioning of all mechanical systems within each packaged plantroom, while updating key stakeholders both onsite and at our Head Office. The position is a full-time site-based role, rotating throughout Europe depending on locality of Plantroom Deliveries. It would be fair to assume that each Management team (Mech/Elec) will spend approx. 5-7 months in one location throughout Europe before on to the next location.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating the delivery, installation, set-down and reconnection of plantrooms in line with client programmes and AH technical requirements.
  • The role involves supervising client-appointed mechanical teams, ensuring correct installation sequences, drawing revisions, quality standards, pressure testing and compliance with AH installation guides, ITPs and HSEQ procedures.
  • Duties include conducting technical and quality inspections, providing final approval, attending site meetings, monitoring labour performance, coordinating programmes and installation activities, and reporting progress, issues and defects to the wider management team.
  • The position also requires close collaboration with site teams, contractors, AH management and MEP teams, alongside completion of SAT documentation, daily reports, four-week lookaheads and support with O&M manuals to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality project delivery.
