Team Overview: The Contracts department oversees the delivery and execution of projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and handover. Role Overview: The Manufacturing Engineer will support and enhance our assembly-based manufacturing operations. This position focuses on increasing efficiency, improving product quality, minimising waste, and assisting with new product introductions in a fast-paced production environment. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll be Doing:
- Analyse current assembly processes to identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and product quality.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary assembly teams to resolve assembly issues and eliminate barriers to production flow.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving methodologies, including carrying out root cause analysis for defects and assembly-related issues.
- Collaborate with assembly teams to design, specify, and implement jigs, fixtures, and tooling that support safe and efficient assembly operations.
- Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and fixture issues to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
