Role Overview: As a CAD Technician, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career as a CAD Technician. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will learn how to use a range of computer-aided design software, create technical drawings, and contribute to various design projects. This position is ideal for individuals who have a strong interest in engineering and design and are eager to develop their skills under the guidance of a strong, multi-disciplined CAD Team. The CAD Team plays a key role in developing drawings from 3D CAD models ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP), architectural and structural elements are accurately represented and meet the project's specifications and standards.
What You'll be Doing:
- Drawing Development: Extract and prepare 2D drawings from 3D models for construction documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
- Annotation Management: Populate 3D models with essential annotation data and specifications, ensuring that all components are correctly tagged and categorised.
- Quality Control: Check models & drawings for accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with CAD, design, pre-construction, offsite manufacturing, onsite Installation teams, to ensure that the 3D modelling and 2D drawings align with project requirements.
- Development: Shadow experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience on our design processes where a development plan will be arranged to learn and develop into utilising Revit 3D modelling software.
