As a Welding QC Inspector, you will ensure all welding and fabrication work meets approved specifications and quality standards. You will perform quality stage inspections, factory acceptance testing, and elevate any issues to the Senior Welding Inspector. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that all quality stages are recorded on our electronic quality system, ensuring full traceability of all production items. During reviews, you may be required to present the quality process and information from previous similar jobs. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding inspection, quality control, and a strong understanding of fabrication processes within the M&E or manufacturing industries.
What You'll be Doing:
- Conduct inspections and factory acceptance testing to ensure welding and fabrication comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor and assess welding operations, perform visual and non-destructive testing, verify weld quality and dimensions, and identify defects and non-conformances, recommending corrective actions and repairs as needed.
- Ensure all quality checks are recorded, maintain full traceability of production items, review welding procedures and qualifications, and uphold health, safety, and environmental requirements.
