The Contracts department oversees the delivery and execution of projects from initial mobilisation through to completion and handover. Acting as the bridge between design, commercial, and on-site teams, the department ensures that all contractual obligations are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. With a focus on planning, resource coordination, and problem-solving, the Contracts team plays a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

We are seeking a motivated and proactive Junior Planner / Planning Assistant with 1 – 2 years’ experience to support the planning function across multiple construction projects. This role is ideal for an individual looking to build a career in project planning within the construction industry. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Planner, receiving mentoring and guidance, and will support with the collection of project data, progress tracking, and general planning administration. The focus of this role is on developing core planning awareness, demonstrating initiative, and contributing to the smooth running of project reporting and coordination.

What You'll be Doing

  • Support the Project Planner in setting up, maintaining, and updating project programmes while coordinating with site teams, supply chain partners, and customers to gather progress updates and key project information.
  • Assist in monitoring project performance against programme targets, maintaining accurate records of timelines, milestones, and changes, and preparing planning reports, trackers, dashboards, and visual updates.
  • Support communication and coordination between project, site, and delivery teams, attend meetings to record actions and updates, and help identify delays or issues by collecting and analysing site information.
  • Provide administrative support related to planning and project controls while contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and systems.
