Team Overview
The Document Control department ensures the efficient management, organization, and distribution of all project-related documentation. This team maintains version control, tracks approvals, and ensures that the latest documents are readily accessible to all stakeholders across the project lifecycle. By upholding strict document management protocols, the department supports compliance, enhances collaboration, and helps maintain consistency and accuracy across all project communications.
Role Overview
To manage, control, and distribute project information in line with agreed protocols, ensuring integrity, traceability, and timely availability of documentation across project teams and external stakeholders. The role supports effective use of the Common Data Environment (Viewpoint for Projects), Field View, and related systems to maintain compliance and improve information management performance.
Location: Birmingham Office
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm
Salary: Competitive Depending on Experience

What You'll Be Doing
- Experienced Document Controller responsible for maintaining project information protocols and ensuring compliance across document control systems including Viewpoint for Projects (CDE), Field View, and 4P.
- Skilled in managing workflows, transmittals, document archives, and high-volume project documentation while ensuring accurate and timely distribution to stakeholders.
- Experienced in maintaining registers, issuing progress reports and drawing registers, conducting site audits, and ensuring all project information is current and correctly filed.
- Strong collaborator with the ability to train project teams on document control procedures, improve system processes, and coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
