By maintaining organised inventory control and efficient stock management, the department ensures that the right materials are available at the right time, supporting smooth project workflows and reducing delays. Their role is key to operational efficiency and effective supply chain management.
The Warehouse Operative / Stock Controller will play a key role in the day to day running of warehouse operations, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and efficiently. You’ll be part of a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, teamwork, and reliability are essential. The role involves both manual handling and the use of warehouse equipment, with a strong focus on maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
What You’ll be Doing
- Carry out safe and efficient receiving, inspection, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely reporting of any discrepancies or damage.
- Maintain organised stock control through proper storage, rotation, cycle counts, and housekeeping, while accurately completing all required documentation and system records.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely when authorised, comply fully with Health & Safety procedures, and work collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to meet daily targets, support continuous improvement, and undertake additional reasonable duties as required.
