The opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in the UK’s & Ireland’s Building Services sector. Alternative Heat design, develop and deliver a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
Alternative Heat is a market-leading provider of “Offsite Modular Solutions” and innovative MEP solutions, within the European Data Centre sector, serving clients across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. In line with strong company growth and a healthy forward order book, Alternative Heat have established two key routes to market within this sector and in doing so have established two dedicated Data Centre Business Units to serve this sector.
Within one of these Business Units, Alternative Heat deliver turnkey plantroom packages at scale, directly to hyperscale Data Centre developers throughout Europe, under long-term framework agreements. This Business Unit is scaling at pace, and we have secured a 5-year framework agreement to design, manufacture and deliver volume based, turnkey plantroom modules (mechanical, electrical and BMS) to projects throughout Europe, with demand set to increase annually.
The Mechanical Engineer within this BU is responsible for the design and review of mechanical systems within prefabricated MEP modules and plantrooms for the Data Centre sector. This role ensures the design of mechanical components, including pipework, pumps, heat exchangers, and associated equipment, is in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
