The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 € per hour.

Enabling Support Working Hours will be 2 x 7 hours day shifts 08:00 - 15:00 every Tuesday and Thursday. At times this may vary.

Responsibilities

  • To support a young female with complex autism.
  • To provide personalised support to people with complex care needs, including assistance with activities of daily living, medication administration and managing medical equipment and supplies.
  • To actively participate in helping people we support to achieve their outcomes as per their agreed Personalised Plan, providing safe and effective care and support to ensure the needs of the person are met.
  • To support people to develop and maintain relationships, as identified in the individual’s Personalised Plan and facilitate the development of new relationships.
  • To support people to make informed choices around a healthy lifestyle.
  • To support people to meet their leisure, work, social, emotional and spiritual needs.
  • To support people to connect with their community in accordance with their wishes as identified in their Personalised Plan.

Person Specification – Essential Criteria

  • Evidence of embracing, demonstrating and applying AFG’s Values.
  • Ability to support people in ways consistent with their rights, choices and responsibilities.
  • A positive attitude to people with complex physical, learning disabilities and/or mental health problems.
  • Ability to provide sympathetic, emotional and practical support to others.
  • Ability to support others to make informed choices within their daily lives.
  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to listen sensitively to others.
  • Written English skills, with an ability to contribute accurately to record keeping.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Health & Social Care paid or unpaid role.
  • Ideally experience working with individuals with Autism.

Personal Attributes

  • Willingness to attend all clinical mandatory and specialist training courses and events.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, covering 24 hours/7 days.
  • Drivers are preferred for this role, as initially some travel will be required to attend induction training courses, however there are good public transport links nearby and driving is not an ongoing requirement of the role.
