About the role: We are recruiting a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber) to join our London team. You will work 2-3 days (including evenings and weekends) in our London office located in Kings Cross. You will play a key part in prescribing and reviewing cannabis-based medicines for patients with complex conditions. The role requires on-site working during evenings and weekends. As a Clinical Pharmacist (Independent Prescriber), you will split your time between three days on site and two days working remotely. You will provide safe, effective and personalised treatment, supporting patients with a wide range of needs. Collaboration is central to this role. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver outstanding patient care while also contributing to the development of clinical pathways. You will be involved in patient and staff education and play an active part in driving improvements in treatment outcomes within this rapidly growing field.
Key responsibilities:
- Clinically check and review CBPM prescriptions for safety and accuracy.
- Prescribe medicines as an Independent Prescriber, tailoring treatments to individual patient needs.
- Provide expert guidance to prescribers and patients on treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records in line with GPhC standards.
- Support the dispensary team by handling complex clinical queries.
- Deliver education and training on CBPM to patients, clinicians, and staff.
- Collaborate with the wider team to streamline processes and improve outcomes.
What we are looking for:
- GPhC registered pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification.
- At least 2 years prescribing experience.
- Experience working in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of CBPM is desired but not essential or willingness to undergo specialised training.
- Clear and confident communicator across clinical and non-clinical settings.
- Highly effective at managing time and prioritising competing demands.
- Proactive and resourceful when identifying and resolving problems.
- Well-organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage complex workflows.
