Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician

Role and responsibilities
- Carry out accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring full compliance with legal, operational and safety standards
- Support the end to end dispensing process, verifying that all medicines are prepared correctly for patient delivery
- Maintain clear and accurate prescription records, reporting any discrepancies without delay
- Help train and mentor junior colleagues, encouraging a culture of safety, accuracy and quality
- Keep up to date with professional development, industry standards and best practice guidance
- Work closely with the wider pharmacy team to resolve queries and ensure every patient receives an exceptional service
Skills, experience and qualifications
- Hold a Level 3 NVQ in Pharmacy Services (ACT) or equivalent ACT qualification
- Be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Have significant experience in a pharmacy setting, with a proven record in accuracy checking
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, policies and standard operating procedures
- Show excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
- Possess strong communication skills and a patient focused approach to service delivery
