We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SC Cleared DevOps Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimising scalable infrastructure and automation solutions across complex hybrid environments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving operational efficiency, improving system resilience, and supporting cloud migration and modernisation initiatives. Working closely with architects, engineers, and delivery teams, you will help ensure solutions align with technical roadmaps, governance standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Ansible playbooks and roles to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines that support reliable, scalable, and repeatable deployments.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual intervention and improve operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash (Linux) and PowerShell (Windows) for administration, permissions management, and operational tasks.
- Administer and support Windows Server 2016+ and Linux environments, including patching, configuration, troubleshooting, and proactive maintenance.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure modernisation programmes, including hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
- Maintain and support enterprise data platforms, including Data Warehousing (DWHR), Unified Data Platforms, Data Bridge integrations.
- Manage identity and access services, including Active Directory, Kerberos authentication, service accounts, and NAS security configurations.
- Implement and enhance monitoring and alerting solutions, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to improving platform resilience.
- Work within Agile delivery environments using Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and defect tracking.
- Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to ensure solutions meet governance, security, and technical standards.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation while contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop reusable automation frameworks, standards, and best practices to support operational excellence.

- Strong hands-on experience with Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
