Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Altera Recruitment Group is proud to be working with a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a modern biomass power generation facility, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and safety of a highly automated industrial plant.
The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer candidate will have a strong maintenance background within a heavy process environment and be passionate about delivering high standards of engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical and electrical plant equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, motors, valves, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Diagnose faults, complete repairs, and perform routine inspections to maximise plant reliability and minimise downtime.
- Support plant improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and maintenance outages while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's Computerised Maintenance Management System and ensure appropriate spare parts are available.
- Work in accordance with all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures while participating in the site call out rota.
- Candidate Requirements
- Time served engineer or Level 3 qualified in Maintenance Engineering with a minimum of four years' experience within a heavy industrial environment such as power generation, waste processing, chemical manufacturing, steel production, or refining.
- Strong mechanical maintenance skills with experience working on rotating equipment and industrial process plant.
- Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems, with previous experience using CMMS software. Experience with Piranha would be advantageous.
- Understanding of steam systems, water treatment processes, or maintenance project delivery would be beneficial.
- Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Environmental, and regulatory compliance. NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications would be advantageous.
