Mechanical Service Engineer This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically skilled professional to join a growing service team supporting industrial process and energy recovery facilities across the UK. The role focuses on maintenance, fault diagnosis and performance optimisation of mechanical plant equipment. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of mechanical plant equipment and process systems * Diagnose faults across pumps, mixers, motors, pipework and associated mechanical infrastructure * Operate testing equipment and complete inspections to ensure optimal system performance * Support commissioning activities and maintain accurate service and site documentation * Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and operational performance across client sites Candidate Requirements * Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline * Minimum of three years experience in a mechanical service, maintenance or field engineering role * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide with occasional overnight stays * Strong fault finding skills across mechanical equipment, pipework and process systems * Good understanding of safe systems of work including RAMS, alongside solid communication and IT skills What’s on Offer * Salary in the region of £45,000 depending on experience, with overtime available * Company vehicle, fuel card and all travel expenses covered * Field based role located within approximately 30 minutes of Lincoln or along the A1 corridor * Opportunity to join a small, expanding team with strong long term growth plans * Stable workload with weekday focus and only occasional weekend requirements If you are a motivated mechanical engineer looking to contribute to sustainable infrastructure projects and develop your career within a growing sector, we would love to hear from you
