An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a leading industrial operation within the energy and infrastructure sector. Based at a high performing Energy from Waste facility, the role of an Electrical Engineer will focus on maintaining the integrity, performance, and reliability of critical electrical systems while supporting engineering projects, plant optimisation, and operational continuity. The successful Electrical Engineer will be a technically capable and safety conscious professional with strong experience in industrial electrical environments and a proactive approach to maintenance and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate electrical engineering projects from planning through to installation, commissioning, and final handover.
- Oversee the performance, maintenance, and compliance of site electrical systems, including high voltage infrastructure and associated equipment.
- Support plant reliability through planned maintenance strategies, technical fault diagnosis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage contractors and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient execution of work.
- Contribute to operational leadership by providing technical guidance, supporting outages, and deputising for senior maintenance personnel when required.
