A growing organisation within the sustainable clean-tech sector is seeking a Sales Executive to support the expansion of its advanced technologies across industrial and maritime markets. This role plays a key part in helping customers improve safety, efficiency, and environmental performance through the adoption of proven, patented solutions.
The Sales Executive will focus on developing new business and strengthening existing relationships within industrial and maritime environments. This position requires a balance of consultative engagement and technical understanding. The successful candidate will manage the complete sales cycle, from early discovery through to trials, demonstrations, negotiation, and final agreement. Regular travel within the UK and internationally will form an essential part of the role.
Key Responsibilities of the Sales Executive include:
- Generate and maintain a strong pipeline across industrial and maritime sectors, identifying opportunities for both chemistry-only and combined system solutions.
- Conduct detailed discovery work to understand customer cleaning processes and operational challenges, presenting tailored value-driven solutions.
- Lead the full sales cycle, including qualification, technical discussion, product demonstration, trial activity, negotiation, and closing.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams internally and externally to ensure product demonstrations, trials, and onboarding run smoothly and deliver measurable improvements.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, sharing product expertise while gathering insights that support market positioning and commercial strategy.
Requirements
- Experience in chemicals or technical maintenance solutions within industrial or maritime environments would be desired.
- Strong understanding of operational decision-making within industrial companies, with proven success in introducing new technologies or products into established accounts.
- Confident in discussing engineering, operations, and process improvement topics with technical and HSE stakeholders.
- Competent CRM user with disciplined pipeline management and strong commercial judgement.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence change within traditional, process-driven organisations.
Package
- A base salary of £40,000 to £45,000, depending on experience.
- Commission Structure of £35% OTE.
- 25 days holiday + bank.
