Altera Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading organisation in the energy from waste sector to appoint a Mechanical Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor professional to join a growing team supporting the maintenance, performance, and reliability of specialist plant equipment across multiple sites nationwide. The successful Mechanical Supervisor will be technically capable, safety conscious, and confident working both independently and collaboratively within a field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of mechanical systems and industrial plant equipment to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs on mechanical components, pipework, flow systems, and associated plant infrastructure.
  • Operate specialist testing and diagnostic equipment to assess performance and identify technical issues.
  • Support the servicing and upkeep of critical plant assets, including pumps, motors, heating systems, valves, sensors, conveyors, and process equipment.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and contribute to continuous improvements in plant safety, performance, and operational standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent practical experience.
