Altera Recruitment Group is working with a forward thinking, multidisciplinary engineering business delivering mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control system projects across the water, utilities and industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an Assistant Project Engineer to support the delivery of engineering projects from initial planning through to completion. This is a development role offering exposure to technically diverse projects, structured training and a clear progression pathway into a full Project Engineer position within a supportive and experienced team.
Key Responsibilities for the Assistant Project Engineer:
- Support the planning and coordination of project activities across multiple sites
- Assist with project schedules, documentation, cost tracking and progress reporting
- Support the preparation of Construction Health and Safety Plans, RAMS and site documentation
- Attend site to support supervisors and engineers during installation and commissioning activities
- Assist with procurement, handover documentation and project close out
What We’re Looking For:
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar, or working towards
- Basic understanding of electrical or mechanical systems
- Strong organisational and communication skills
