Altera Infrastructure have a new temporary requirement for a Project Purchaser to join the Team in Aberdeen. This role will be required until December 2026. This role will handle assigned purchasing processes, according to our procedures, ensuring that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements, relevant Management System and company policies and procedures.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Sourcing of material and services for assigned requisitions, issue request for quotations, follow up on clarifications and quotes, evaluate quotes, select supplier and issue Purchase Orders.
  • Facilitate technical clarifications of quotes.
  • Evaluate and negotiate appropriate commercial terms and conditions with supplier.
  • Follow up deliveries to secure on-time delivery of assigned PO’s.
  • Follow up return of material or disputes, until credit note or replacement is received.
  • Ensure timely closing of PO’s.
  • Support with monthly PO-accruals reporting for your assigned POs.
  • Keep procurement files and systems updated in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure the PRs & POs for where you are responsible reflects the correct values, statuses, and data parameters.
  • Ensure timely handling of invoices.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant education or business qualification in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
