Altera Infrastructure are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled Deck Operator with previous experience as a Scaffolder to join our dynamic team.

This role places you at the heart of a cutting-edge project, starting with a short yard phase prior to transitioning to offshore operations.

On offer is the chance to join a rapidly growing team on 2:3 rotation for Offshore Operations.

Our modern FPSO, the Petrojarl Rosebank, will be deployed to the Rosebank oil and gas field.

The vessel has undergone life extension work, modifications for field specifics and enhanced energy efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

We are looking for our next Deck Operator - with a scaffolding background.

Ensure that the day-to-day activities of the team are carried out in a safe manner in accordance with the company HSEQ policies.

Ensure that all activities are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements, and relevant management systems.

Perform duties as assigned by line manager (Deck Foreman).

The Deck Operators/Crew are responsible for carrying out deck operations under the direction of the Deck Foreman, following the relevant procedures and legislation.

  • Carry out lifting and rigging work as and when required.
  • Erect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding structures safely and efficiently.
  • Complete scaffolding inspections, ensuring scaffolding is stable, secure, and complies with industry safety standards.
  • Carry out routine Work Orders and report into maintenance system.
  • Carry out crane duties as Banksman/Slinger/Load handler.
  • Connection and disconnection of Shuttle Tanker mooring and cargo transfer arrangements.
  • Carry out general deck duties i. e. cleaning, stores delivery & materials handling.
  • Act as Helideck team member.
  • Assist with execution of marine work scopes (Tank Confined Space Entry/Anchor Chains/Crane/etc).
  • Assist other departments professionally and informatively.
  • Act as Work Leader.
  • Proactively participate in Risk Assessments and tool box talks.
  • You will be part of the Emergency Response Team and will be expected to carry out duties in accordance with the asset Emergency Response Plan.

Qualifications

  • OPITO Banksman Slinger Stage 3
  • OPITO Rigger Stage 3 (Preferred)
  • OPITO HERTM or HERTL
  • CSE Experience
  • Advanced Scaffolder (Gold Card)
