As a world leading provider of integrated solutions for the alternative investment industry, Alter Domus is proud to be home to 90% of the top 30 asset managers in the private markets, and more than 6,000 professionals across 24 jurisdictions. With a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in alternatives, we believe in being different - in what we do, in how we work and most importantly in how we enable and develop our people. Invest yourself in the alternative, and join an organization where you progress on merit, where you can speak openly with whoever you are speaking to, and where you will be supported along whichever path you choose to take.
We are establishing a data‑driven service delivery model in which operational processes will progressively move from the client’s landscape into ours. For a period of time, both environments will interact as part of a single service chain. This requires clear ownership of data, well‑defined integration patterns, and controlled transitions between systems. The Senior Data & Integration Architect provides the architectural leadership to design these flows, define boundaries, and ensure that the service can operate reliably throughout this evolution.
Role Purpose
The Senior Data & Integration Architect is responsible for defining and governing the data and integration architecture that underpins this transformation. The role ensures that:
- Data ownership and system boundaries are clear and enforceable
- Integration patterns support coexistence and progressive transition
- Service continuity is preserved as the landscape evolves
This role provides the technical backbone of the transition and enables the organization to move with control and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the target data and integration architecture for the service landscape
- Design transition patterns that allow two environments to operate together
- Establish data ownership models, system boundaries, and integration contracts
- Support wave and delivery planning with executable architectural designs
- Identify and mitigate risks related to data flows and dependencies
- Define standards and guardrails for integrations and transitional states
- Provide clear architectural options and trade‑offs for complex decisions
- Work closely with domain architects, PMs, technical leads, and platform teams
- Ensure architectural consistency across domains and delivery streams
Required Experience
- Senior‑level experience in solution architecture with strong focus on:
- Data architecture
- System integration and API design
- Complex application landscapes
- Experience in large‑scale transformation programs, such as:
- Service transitions
- Carve‑outs or M&A environments
- Multi‑platform coexistence scenarios
- Solid understanding of:
- Data ownership and governance
- Event‑driven and API‑based architectures
- Transitional and hybrid architectures
- Ability to operate in in‑flight programs with evolving scope and constraints
Profile
You are a senior architect who:
- Thinks in systems rather than isolated components
- Can reason across business, data, and technology
- Is comfortable in complex, evolving environments
- Balances architectural rigor with delivery pragmatism
- Engages credibly with engineers, PMs, and leadership
Outcome
- Data boundaries between landscapes are explicit and controlled
- Integration patterns are consistent and scalable
- Delivery waves are architecturally sound and executable
- Transitional states are designed rather than improvised
- The service transition becomes predictable, controllable, and future‑proof
This role is central to making the transformation operationally sound and sustainable.
