As a member of the Private Equity team, you will be accountable for an efficient processing and review of end-to-end PE funds NAV delivery, including capital events, annual financials, support year end audit process and specifically supports the team during process migration to India CDC and overseeing the NAV delivery:
- Supervise and mentor a team of Fund Accountant and Senior Fund Accountant, ensuring strong technical capability and client service orientation.
- Oversee quarterly and annual financial statements under LUX/UK GAAP/IFRS, including partner capital accounts and waterfall allocations.
- Review and approve capital activity (calls, distributions, equalizations) and ensure compliance with side letters and bespoke investor economics.
- Implement and monitor internal controls for an efficient NAV accounting process and exception management to maintain audit readiness.
- Identify and execute process improvements to reduce cycle times and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Support system optimization initiatives (e-Front, and other Nav accounting tools) and other NAV process automation projects.
- Sign off as reviewer on SOC1 checklist and support SOC external audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit procedures and requests.
- Develop leadership skills by demonstrating a willingness to lead projects and offer input.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the governing agreement(s) between Alter Domus, the clients and their investors.
- Foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in accounting, Finance, any other professional accounting qualification (i.e. CA, CMA or ACCA or equivalent).
- Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in accounting for the financial services sector, particularly Private Equity, Asset Management or Fund Administration.
- Supervisory skills with experience in managing and/or leading staff for 3-4 years and should have conducted minimum 1 performance appraisal cycle for junior staff.
- Private equity fund experience, Exposure to complex fund structure (Luxembourg/Ireland/UK or other EMEA region funds).
- Expertise in LUX/UK GAAP/IFRS, waterfall mechanics, carried interest, and investor economics.
- Familiarity with PE accounting platforms (e-Front, BoB50, Yardi) is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to perform multiple projects, navigate unexpected challenges, and bring about viable solutions that provide the best results.
