Alter Domus is currently seeking a new Data Platform Product Owner to join our Data and Analytics team.

Job Description:

  • Manage ongoing product development of data and analytics products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of data needs for the alternatives industry to translate the market needs into clear user stories.
  • Write, prioritize, and support stories for a global development team.
  • Break down new features into stories and work with the development team to get estimates following agile product management principles.
  • Generate relevant documentation, which may include an overview of the data landscape, release notes, and user guides.
  • Generate realistic datasets for product demonstrations, anonymizing data as needed.
  • Support client onboarding where applicable.
  • Align team activities, strategies, responsibilities, and objectives with the firm's strategic direction.
  • Recommend improvements to strategy, processes, plans, and future opportunities with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Regularly report on team and release progress using internal tools.
  • Participate in new product and feature design, including design sprints and market feedback conversations.
  • Serve as an internal subject matter expert on relevant data and analytics product integrations.

Your Profile:

  • Experience in agile product management on a data platform and/or expertise in a data-focused role in the alternatives industry and looking to expand experience.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented.
  • Familiar with Jira reporting, dashboards, and automations.
  • Strong SQL background.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities effectively and working across multiple teams and internal groups.
  • Quickly adopt new technologies and tools.
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused, while also able to understand the bigger picture.
  • Comfortable with resolving complex challenges.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly across departments and to senior management on status, trade-offs, and key recommendations.
  • Consistently deliver on commitments, taking ownership and overcoming obstacles.
  • Able to understand technical concepts and product operations.
