We are supporting a major nuclear infrastructure programme based near Hinkley Point C, delivered by one of the UK’s leading energy organisations. This opportunity is ideal for a Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance professional with experience working in regulated or safety‑critical environments, supporting compliance, governance, and continuous improvement across complex engineering projects. You will play a key role ensuring quality standards are maintained across project teams and suppliers, supporting one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support deployment and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Quality Planning, inspection co‑ordination and test plan writing.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 19443, and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct and support internal and supplier audits
  • Monitor quality performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Support project teams in implementing quality processes and best practice
  • Interface with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams
  • Produce reports and quality documentation using Microsoft Office and reporting tools
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the programme
  • Work with EPCs

Qualifications Required Skills:

  • 5–9 years’ experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance, or Compliance role
  • Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or similar recognised quality standards
  • Experience working in regulated or safety‑critical industries (nuclear, defence, aerospace, rail, oil & gas, or similar)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using SharePoint and collaborative platforms

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in the nuclear sector
  • Familiarity with ISO 19443
  • Experience using Power BI or similar reporting tools
  • Experience using Jira, Confluence, or Atlassian tools
  • Experience supporting supplier quality or audit programmes
  • Understanding of working in highly regulated environments
