We’re supporting a major UK nuclear infrastructure programme and are seeking an experienced HVAC / Ventilation Engineer with a proven background in nuclear environments. This role is focused on safety-critical ventilation and air movement systems, playing a key part in maintaining controlled and protected environments on-site.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting the delivery of nuclear-grade HVAC and ventilation systems
- Working specifically on air movement, extraction, filtration, and containment systems
- Contributing to the installation, testing, and commissioning of safety-critical ventilation equipment
- Ensuring compliance with nuclear safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and system specifications
- Proven experience working within a nuclear environment (e.g. new build, decommissioning, or operations)
- Strong background in ventilation / HVAC systems within safety-critical environments
- Experience with containment, extraction, or pressurised ventilation systems
- Understanding of nuclear compliance, safety cases, and regulated processes
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or regulated industrial projects
- Knowledge of filtration systems (e.g. HEPA) and contamination control
- Commissioning or installation experience on critical ventilation systems.
