We are supporting the offload of compressor system design and integration activities to a managed service environment and are looking for a highly capable Systems Integration Engineer to join a complex, high-performance programme. This role sits at the heart of gas turbine / turbomachinery development, working across integration, validation, and in-service support activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver compressor system integration activities across multiple parallel workstreams
  • Support product system design integration, working closely with cross-functional teams
  • Conduct and lead OSOR investigations and root cause analysis (RCI)
  • Provide complex technical validation and verification support
  • Support SAR (Safety Assessment Report) activities, including fleet health and risk tracking
  • Manage sampling closure and DoRA updates
  • Produce clear reporting and updates for Technical Leads
  • Contribute to additional subsystem and integration activities as required
Qualifications Required Skills:
  • Experience with Teamcenter (essential)
  • Working knowledge of Siemens NX
  • Familiarity with LCE tools, such as: OSORs, FRACAS
  • Ability to conduct root cause investigations (e.g. Fishbone, EBRCA)
  • Proven experience in systems integration / systems engineering within aerospace or turbomachinery
  • Strong understanding of compressor systems / cold-end turbomachinery, including: Casings & structures, Stress, vibration, aero & aeromechanics, Tip clearance, engine loads & interactions
  • Experience working across the product lifecycle, including design, integration, and validation
  • Strong experience in validation & verification (V&V) and ability to challenge requirements
  • Familiarity with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
  • Systems Engineering capability including: DFMEA, Requirements management processes, Concept development & selection
  • Knowledge of safety processes: FMECA, SARs, RedTop (or similar frameworks)
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision (after initial onboarding)
  • Comfortable managing multiple parallel tasks and shifting priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Basic understanding of engine certification processes and compliance is desirable
