Are you a Senior Systems Safety Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on advanced aerospace structures? Location: Wolverhampton (On-site at least 3 days per week)

Clearance Requirement: Sole UK National, SC Clearable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety and reliability assessments at the system level, including FMEA, FHA, FTA, and Common Mode Analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with CS-25.1309 certification specifications for large aeroplanes.
  • Apply SAE ARP 4754 to define and manage System Development Assurance Levels (DAL).
  • Lead hazard analysis activities, identifying and mitigating risks in safety-critical systems.
  • Work independently, delivering high-quality safety documentation with minimal support from the customer.
  • Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers to ensure end-to-end safety compliance.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in System Safety Engineering within aerospace or defence.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, or a relevant background in UK military aviation safety.
  • Strong knowledge of FMEA, FTA, FHA, hazard analysis, and CS-25 compliance.
  • Experience with SAE ARP 4754 and system-level safety assessment.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of project deliverables.
  • Must be a sole UK national and SC clearable.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with DO-178C and safety-critical software assessment.
  • Familiarity with military and civil aerospace safety standards.
  • Background in safety case development and regulatory compliance.
