We are looking for an experienced ITEA Engineer to join our team in Reading, to drive Integration, Test, Evaluation and Acceptance activities across a complex, multi-disciplinary system. This role is central to ensuring capability readiness, technical assurance, and successful delivery into operational service.
You will lead ITEA planning, execution and reporting across the full engineering lifecycle, working closely with systems engineering, programme management, MoD stakeholders and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead ITEA strategy and planning for a major defence capability, ensuring alignment with programme milestones and customer requirements.
- Manage and mentor ITEA teams, including test engineers, analysts and integration specialists.
- Oversee system integration activities, ensuring interfaces, subsystems and components are verified and validated.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, acceptance criteria and evaluation frameworks.
- Coordinate trials, demonstrations and acceptance events with MoD and industry partners.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation, including test reports, evaluation summaries and acceptance evidence.
- Ensure compliance with defence standards, safety requirements and security protocols.
- Act as the primary ITEA point of contact for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- Proven background leading ITEA, IV&V, or Test & Integration activities within the UK defence sector.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering, requirements management and acceptance processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional activities.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with MoD customers.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Knowledge of mission systems, sensors, communications, or platform integration.
- Background in test automation, modelling & simulation, or digital engineering.
