Overview

Senior Requirements Systems Engineer to support a major defence programme, leading and governing system requirements across the engineering lifecycle.

Works with multidisciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured, maintained, and managed effectively.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced Systems Engineer with strong DOORS Next expertise who can provide guidance, best practice, and support for requirements management within a complex engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities & Experience

  • Lead and support requirements management activities across the programme using DOORS Next.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for DOORS Next, providing guidance, support, and best practices to engineering teams and stakeholders.
  • Develop, maintain, review, and manage system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure requirements are correctly defined, traced, and verified.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support requirements capture, change management, and governance processes.
  • Demonstrable experience operating within Defence, Aerospace, Naval, or other highly regulated engineering environments.

  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience of DOORS Next.
  • Proven background in Requirements Engineering and Requirements Management.
  • Experience developing, reviewing, and maintaining requirements specifications.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience working on complex, safety-critical, or mission-critical programmes.
  • Familiarity with requirements verification and validation activities.
  • Existing Security Clearance.
