As a Chemical Process Engineer you will join the Manchester team to support our activities within the Nuclear sector. This is a great opportunity to apply advanced nuclear physics knowledge in a high-impact, regulated environment, working closely with multidisciplinary teams on reactor systems, shielding design, and compliance with nuclear safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deliver, and issue technical justifications to support the concept design of nuclear, gas or water systems.
- Provide technical support to integrated systems design and system descriptions.
- Own and manage project plans to ensure on-time delivery to cost, quality, and schedule.
- Engage with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to facilitate seamless project execution.
Required Skills:
- Nuclear/Highly Regulated Industry Experience: Preferably with exposure to PWR plant design and nuclear safety regulations.
- Skilled in producing detailed technical studies, reports, and engineering documentation.
- Experience with Energy mass balance and pressure drop calculations, or reactor physics applied to nuclear technology.
- Experience in technical strategy development, chemistry data analysis, and regulatory compliance within a highly regulated environment.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical or Nuclear Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in nuclear, power generation, or other safety-critical industries.
