As a Systems Safety Engineer, you will join our Loughborough team to support complex Aerospace programmes involving architecture definition, integration, verification, and safety activities in support of certification objectives. You will engage with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and certification bodies to ensure aligned system delivery throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting system-level integration activities including dependency mapping and interface coherence from concept phase through validation.
- Coordinating with suppliers and engineering partners to ensure synchronized delivery of system requirements and artefacts.
- Contributing to requirements definition, traceability, and verification (DOORS exposure beneficial).
- Assisting with test rig system integration activities; exposure to fuel systems is advantageous (relevant for candidates from automotive or aerospace/defence backgrounds).
- Supporting system coordination and architecture definition aligned to aerospace certification pathways and compliance expectations.
- Contributing to aerospace system safety activities including safety case development, safety & reliability analysis (e.g., FTA, DFMEA), and awareness of certification regulations (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, Airworthiness).
- Facilitating verification and validation activities and ensuring outcomes meet programme certification needs.
- Engaging stakeholders at multiple levels and maintaining clear communication across technical and certification domains.
Qualifications Required Skills:
- Systems engineering experience within a relevant technical domain.
- Confidence engaging and managing stakeholders across suppliers and engineering teams.
- Experience contributing to system integration from early design phases.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Aerospace system coordination and architecture definition for certified systems.
- Exposure to aerospace functional safety, safety cases, and airworthiness requirements.
- Knowledge of safety & reliability methodologies (e.g., Fault Tree Analysis, DFMEA).
- Familiarity with aerospace certification standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
- Experience with test rigs and/or fuel systems integration.
