We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team and support the development of innovative space technologies and systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to technically challenging programmes, working within multidisciplinary teams to develop robust electronics solutions for demanding operational environments.
- Location: London
- On Site: 1-2x a month
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing electronic hardware for complex space systems.
- Capturing and managing hardware requirements and specifications.
- Producing schematics, design documentation, and technical reports.
- Supporting PCB design, component selection, and circuit analysis activities.
- Conducting hardware testing, debugging, and performance validation.
- Supporting system integration and verification activities.
- Contributing to technical reviews and engineering trade-off studies.
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful hardware delivery.
- Supporting qualification and environmental testing campaigns.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Demonstrable experience within the Space industry (essential).
- Experience designing and developing electronic hardware for space, satellite, spacecraft, or related applications.
- Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics.
- Experience with schematic capture and electronic design tools.
- Understanding of embedded hardware and electronic system architectures.
- Experience in hardware verification, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of electronic testing methodologies and laboratory equipment.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering , or equivalent military experience .
- Experience with spacecraft avionics, onboard electronics, or payload electronics.
- Familiarity with ECSS standards and space-qualified hardware development processes.
- Knowledge of FPGA, microcontroller, or embedded system development.
- Understanding of EMC/EMI principles and environmental qualification testing.
- Experience with power electronics and power distribution systems.
- Familiarity with communication protocols and data handling architectures.
- Awareness of radiation effects and reliability considerations for space hardware.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
