We are seeking a motivated Quality Engineer to join the Project Delivery Organisation (PDO) Quality Management team, supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of quality arrangements across the SZC project. In this role, you will ensure that nuclear‑industry best practice quality management systems are defined, deployed, and consistently applied across all PDO activities. You will support compliance with Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, contribute to the development of quality management requirements, monitor quality performance, and drive continuous improvement across the organisation and its supply chain.
Location: Bristol or London or Ipswich or Manchester (Can be any one of these sites)

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems across all PDO activities.
- Support the definition and deployment of nuclear‑grade QA/QC arrangements aligned with industry best practice and major project standards.
- Ensure quality management requirements are developed, implemented, and effectively communicated across the SZC organisation and supply chain.
- Support compliance with Nuclear Site Licence Conditions, ensuring PDO responsibilities are fully discharged.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on quality performance, providing insights and recommendations to drive improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams and supply chain partners to ensure consistent application of quality arrangements.
- Contribute to strategic quality objectives, ensuring alignment with the overall Quality Strategy and SZC project goals.
Qualifications Required Skills:
- Strong experience in quality management within major projects, ideally in the nuclear power sector.
- Solid understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning.
- Experience working on large, complex nuclear programmes, with knowledge of compliance, governance, and regulatory expectations.
- Experience interfacing with project delivery teams and supply chain organisations.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, prepare reports, and make informed recommendations.
- Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently with strong organisational discipline.
- Excellent communication skills, with native‑level English (spoken and written).
- Operates at a senior Quality Engineer level, with the capability and ambition to progress into a Quality Manager/Lead role.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent military experience.
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (IRCA or equivalent).
- NEC3 accreditation (Supervisor or PM training).
- Membership of CQI (Practitioner or Chartered).
- NDT/Welding inspection (CSWIP/PCN).
