As a Tooling & Manufacturing Engineer, you will join our Broughton team to support our activities within the aerospace manufacturing sector. You will play a key role in ensuring tooling solutions are fit for purpose across aircraft component programmes, with a strong focus on design reviews, manufacturability, and supplier engagement. The role involves owning tooling concepts from design through to trial phases, ensuring compliance with Airbus standards and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Attend and actively contribute to design and tooling reviews, assessing manufacturability and usability
- Evaluate tooling requirements (e.g., storage constraints, lifting needs such as crane requirements)
- Engage and interrogate suppliers to understand capabilities, constraints, and tooling needs
- Ensure all tooling solutions are compliant with Airbus standards and safety requirements
- Design and oversee the manufacture of tooling solutions such as trolleys and handling equipment
- Manage and coordinate trial phases, ensuring successful validation and implementation
Qualifications Required Skills:
- Experience in tooling design, manufacturing engineering, or production support
- Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and constraints
- Ability to assess practical handling, storage, and safety considerations for large components
- Experience working with suppliers and managing technical discussions
- Good problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or tooling-focused engineering environment
- Understanding of engineering drawings, standards, and compliance processes
- Experience working within Airbus programmes or standards
- Knowledge of lifting equipment regulations and handling solutions
- Experience with tooling trials, validation, and industrialisation phases
