ALTEN UK is seeking a motivated Control Systems Software Engineers to join our growing team in Dunbar Scotland supporting key projects within the Energy sector. This role is ideal for graduates, junior engineers (up to 5 years’ experience), looking to develop expertise in Operational Technology (OT), industrial software systems, and safety-critical environments.
You will contribute to the governance, implementation, and assurance of software changes across industrial control systems, including SCADA, embedded platforms, and operator interfaces. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll help ensure that software modifications are delivered safely, securely, and in line with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the software change and configuration management lifecycle, including:
- Requirements analysis
- Impact assessment
- Version control
- Testing and verification
- Release management and baselining
- Mid level experienced engineers who are keen to develop in Instrumentation & Control system design lifecycle.
- Individuals with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
- Experience in Control Systems, Instrumentation & Control.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Experience working with Control Systems
- Electrical Engineering experience
- Experience working on large infrastructure projects with high level safety requirements.
