We’re looking for a System Design Engineer to join our team in Derby working on a high-profile defence project, contributing to the design of safety-critical control systems in line with aerospace standards.

  • Support Preliminary & Critical Design Reviews
  • Review and validate design changes and software high-level requirements
  • Conduct FMEA/FMECA and safety analysis
  • Represent systems engineering in cross-functional reviews

Previous work on gas turbine engines or propulsion systems is desirable.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or Controls Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Comfortable writing and reviewing system/software requirements.

Skilled in root cause analysis, lifecycle impact, and change validation.

Experience with model-based systems and digital engineering toolsets.

Knowledge of safety analysis techniques (FMEA, FMECA).
